On 27 and 28 October 2010, the European Business Masters Cup had a successful premiere in Poland. During five simulated business periods, 33 students from the Poznan University of Economics (PUE) controlled the fortunes of a copier manufacturer.
The PUE is one of Poland’s top business schools. Thus, the seminar leaders Magdalena Weinle and Hartmut Rösch encountered very well educated and very motivated participants who formed six teams (Panda, Copy Best, ditto, Office Master, Infinitech, CoPierre). Already the results of the trial period gave a taste of the good things come.
In fact, it was a competition at the highest level, not only due to the fact that five out of six teams have chosen a premium strategy. Big profits and rising share prices seemed to be a daily occurrence.
