The penultimate preliminary round of the European Business Masters Cup has taken place at the School of Business and Engineering Vaud (HEIG-VD) in Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland. On 8 and 9 September 2009, the seminar leaders Magdalena Weinle and Hartmut Rösch have encountered 12 highly motivated students who have achieved record-breaking results during two exciting days of virtual corporate planning.
During the first two periods of the management simulation contest, all three teams were racing neck-to-neck. After a turbulent third business year, things were really moving: The copier manufacturer "Pointed" had trouble with pricing and "EnCo" was not able to serve the foreign market. "Leafcopy" seized its opportunity and generated a record profit of EUR 19 million.
