Application

Here you can download application documents and application forms for admission and the assessment of aptitude. Alternatively, you can request them from the faculty secretariat of the HdM. You can obtain information on the individual courses of studies from the individual course directors.

Application dates

The completed admission application form must have been received by the HdM by 15 January for the summer semester and by 15 July for the winter semester (cut-off dates).

Applicants who miss the application cut-off date will be excluded from the course place allocation procedure. Please contact the Study Office if you have any questions regarding applications.

Preliminary period of practical training

Preliminary periods of practical training are not required in any course of studies at present. Equivalent practical vocational activities and relevant vocational training qualifications can be credited as an initial practical study semester. Other periods of practical training will not be credited and therefore bear no relevance to the application procedure.

Official certifications

All application documents must be sent as certified copies. Certified copies can be made in Germany by a notary or any public office which is entitled to use an official seal, for example a town hall, government agency, etc. Outside Germany, only German embassies and consulates can carry out official certifications. It is important that the certification contains an official seal and has been signed by the certifying party. Collective certifications of several pages of a document are permissible.

Course director and list of lectures

You can obtain further information on the course of studies from the course director as well as a current list of lectures by transferring the sum of €5.50 to our account number 2 903 002, bank sorting code 600 501 01, at the Landesbank Baden-Wuerttemberg. Please enter your name and exact address in capital letters on the payment transfer slip.

Study guidance and counselling

You can obtain general information on the course of studies and how to apply from the Central Study Guidance Office. Advice regarding the study subjects is provided in the courses of studies. Central Study Guidance Office at the Vaihingen site: Prof. Dr. Jaeger (jaeger@hdm-stuttgart.de), tel.: +49 (0)711 8923 2129, Room 204 (N). The Central Study Guidance Office is open every Wednesday during the lecture period from 11.30 to 13.30. A prior appointment is not necessary.
