Are you a foreigner and acquired your qualification for admission to higher education in Germany?
- If so, please apply directly to our School for a study place. (With a German qualification for admission to higher education, you are placed on an equal footing with German applicants in the allocation procedure).

You will find further further information under the following address:
www2.fh-konstanz.de/Studium/fachb/ask/index.html This office will verify whether your qualification for admission to higher education and your knowledge of the German language entitles you to study at a technical college in Baden-Wuerttemberg. - The Auslaenderstudienkolleg (ASK) will also translate your grade of a completed course of studies.
- With your certificate of the Auslaenderstudienkolleg (ASK) you can then apply to our School (see below).
Please note, that applying to the ASK is only necessary, if you want to apply to a university of applied sciences in Baden-Wuerttemberg.
Are you a German citizen who acquired his qualification for admission to higher education outside of Germany?

If you are a German citizen and gained your qualification for admission to higher education
abroad, you must arrange for it to be recognised. The average mark in your qualification
will also be assessed at the same time.
The following authority is responsible for recognition and assessment:

D-70176 Stuttgart - With your certificate of the Oberschulamt you can then apply to our School (see below).
Application to the HdM
With your certificate of the ASK or the Oberschulamt you can apply to a course of studies (bachelor or
master) at our School.

Enrolment period
Bachelor: The enrolment period for the summer semester ends on 15 January and for the winter semester on 15 July.
Master: The enrolment period for the summer semester ends on 15 November.

Tasks:
- Co-ordinating foreign contacts and maintaining foreign partnerships,
- Advising foreign course applicants,
- Looking after foreign students and helping them regarding social problems and matters relating to the law on aliens (e.g. the extension of a residence permit),
- Providing assistance to foreign students regarding technical problems,
- Advising German students who want to spend part of their course abroad,
- Providing information on grants and study options
