German-Chinese Course of Studies in Printing Technology, Bachelor
This course of studies combines the technical subjects in printing and media technology with intensive
training in Chinese. All areas of printing and technology are taught in theory and practice: reproduction
technology, typesetting, printing form production, printing processes, print finishing and operating technology.
This includes the acquisition of basic technical skills including materials science, printing machines, measuring
techniques and materials testing.
Two practical study semesters and one study semester are spent in China and at Xi’an Technical
University so that students can become acquainted with Chinese graphic technologies, language and
culture. Graduates find jobs in companies in the graphic industry,
which are interested in close relations with the Chinese printing and supplier market. Job fields include
planning, development, production scheduling, production management and quality assurance. Admission to the
course of studies is restricted (numerus clausus).
