Online-Media-Management, Bachelor of Science
The increasing extension and acceptance of interactive media and new platforms
(such as broadband, mobile computing or interactive TV) cause long-running changes
in the public sector and the economy.
Service Providers are especially affected, for the classic services sector has
to face fundamental changes. Completely new services and innovative services based
on electronic networking are developing.
Even if there was some scepticism in the beginning, e-services and e-content is now
one of the fastest growing markets in Germany. The goods and services are made electronically
and also the customer is integrated via the electronic media.
There are two main focuses in the course Information Services:
E-Government
In E-Government, information- and communication techniques via electronic media
are used for government. Being part of the modernisation process of administration,
this sector is highly promising.
Information and media economics
In this century, there has been no other technological innovation causing as
many basic changes as digitalisation. Electronic media don’t just compete with
the classic print media, there are also new media products and services occurring
from the internet.
