The contact between university and industry is a major topic of a course of studies for applied science. An active team of representatives of the course at the university of applied science is working on establishing and developing a close cooperation between companies from a large variety of branches and the university.

Opportunities for cooperation are company presentations, lectures with external speakers, projects, excursions, participation in contests or meetings with former students that are now working in the industry. For sure there are many more possibilities. Everybody is welcome to bring in fresh ideas in order to further develop the i-pack.

Every four weeks the i-pack takes place on Tuesdays at 17:30 hours in the packaging laboratory. The event starts with some snacks, drinks and of course discussions about all the different matters of packaging.

At 19:00 hours, the talk of the invited company starts and regularly ends with a vivid discussion.
Once every semester there is the possibility to present student projects, excursions or simply talk about internal matters.

i-pack e.V. - the association
In order to support that cooperation, an association was founded on April 4th, 2001. The target is to support and improve the education of the course of studies with the explained activities. Currently there are 54 members, the annual fee is only 5 €. The association is always happy to welcome new members.
