Organisation
In this course the students have to select a current topic of mobile communication and prepare a paper as well as a presentation on the selected topic. The paper shall contain about 7-8 pages in two-column format. For this a template, either for LaTex or Word will be provided. Moreover, general guidelines on structuring the contents of the paper will be presented in one of the course lessons. The duration of the presentation shall not exceed 30 min.
The course is structured as follows.
  1. In the first lesson (12.10.09) the idea and structure of the course is introduced
  2. Students have to select and motivate a topic on mobile communication. Each student has to select one topic (19.10.09)
  3. General guidelines preparing the paper and the presentation are presented by the lecturer (26.10.09).
  4. 09.11.09: Each student has to present an abstract of his paper.
  5. Until the presentation dates the students have to prepare their papers and presentations. During this preparation period attendance is not compulsory. However, the lecturer will be available each monday afternoon in order to consult the students work
  6. Presentations (11.01.10 and 25.01.10): The students have to present their topic in a 30 min talk. Attendance is compulsory for all students
  7. 12.02.10: Deadline for paper submission
For the student's grade the paper and the presentation are assessed.
