Welcoming of first semester students at Hochschule der Medien (HdM) in winter semester 2019/2020

On Monday, October 7th 2019, HdM welcomes all first semester students. Official first day of classes for all first semester students is on Thursday, October 8th 2019 unless not stated otherwise. Please check with your degree programmes for different regulations.

Start your studies right!

At the beginning of your degree programme you have a to face a lot of new stuff: not only academic life and your course of studies – sometimes it’s also new surroundings, a new town and lots of new faces. To start as easy as possible, HdM invites you to a varied programme for first semester students that is organised by the Verfasste Studierendenschaft (student body representative committee).

 

Study and examination regulations (Studien- und Prüfungsordnungen (SPO))

SPO is the bible for your degree programme at HdM. In it, you can find all dutys/obligations and rights that students have during their enrolment at HdM. The SPO consists of two parts: Part A (general part) and Part B (special part, specific for your course of studies). Within it is stated, how and when exams have to be written. If you have questions, please contact the examinations offices.

 

Oxford Online Placement Test (OOPT)

The OOPT is an English placement test. All first semester students have complete the test cohesive with their fellow students of their degree programme. The dean of studies announces the exact dates and times for the tests at the first semester students meeting. READ MORE
