Lebenslauf

Studium der Mathematik an der TU Braunschweig, 1991 Diplom, 1994 Promotion. Von 1995 - 2001 wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Technologiezentrum der Deutschen Telekom in Darmstadt mit den Hauptarbeitsgebieten Sicherheit mobiler Kommunikation sowie Standardisierung digitaler Signaturen.

Seit 2001 Professor für Internet - Security im Studiengang Medieninformatik an der Hochschule der Medien, Stuttgart.

English Version

Roland Schmitz is a professor of Internet Security at Stuttgart Media University since 2001. Before that, he was a senior researcher at the research center of Deutsche Telekom in Darmstadt, Germany, where he worked on mobile communications security and digital signature standardization. Roland Schmitz holds a diploma degree and a Ph.D. in mathematics, both from the technical university of Braunschweig, Germany.
