students of the Hochschule der Medien, Germany and Oulu
University of Applied Sciences, Finland. It tells the compelling true story of Juha, a reindeer herder in Finland who is
confronting considerable change in his environment and
immediate society. The documentary is part of the project

The book itself is the result of a further collaboration between different study programmes at the Hochschule der Medien, and it tells the story of Juha and his community through a variety of diverse media.

This book offers a social critical view on our modern world and confronts the reader with diverse aspects of change. Juha s story is a story of the struggle for survival of regional traditions and culture against a rapidly changing environment. Through his story the reader is brought face to face with a world that is slowly vanishing.
