| Beschreibung: | Semantic Web and Linked Data are two termes often used synonymously that represent concepts and technologies to publish data on the World Wide Web and to weave a global Web of Data by establishing links between data. In information science, this idea got adopted very early and influenced the development of standards like RDA and Bibframe. But semantic technologies are also used in enterprise settings for the integration of heterogenous data and the creation of huge knowledge bases. In this seminar, we will provide the basic knowledge of the theoretical and practical foundations of the Semantic Web. The participants will discuss and explore potential applications of the technologies in their respective fields. A seminar paper on a related topic or a prototypical implementation will be created by the participants as exam. |
