Lernergebnisse:
  • See games through the eyes of a professional game developer. This includes the ability to draw valid conclusions about the development process, the business model, cultural influences, and the underlying technology.
  • Understanding of the various career options in the games industry and the ability to analyze video games from different points of view, e.g. programmer, designer, artist, publisher, politician, and so on.
  • Understanding of the hard- and software used to develop video games and how it impacts the development process. This includes implications regarding the runtime performance as well as financial and budget considerations.
  • Ability to reflect and scientifically discuss various game development related subjects such as design, business, youth protection, hardware, and software within small groups.
  • Composition of written reports, outlining, summarizing, and analyzing the findings.
  • Presentation and explanation of the reports in front of the class.
  • Acquiring fundamental knowledge for advanced courses.
