Beschreibung: The course aims to connect Internet of Things (IoT) enabled devices using scalable cloud services in a project setup. After an initial introductory section covering cloud and IoT fundamentals students plan, develop, implement and operate their own cloud architectures to connect IoT actuators and sensors. Actuators and sensors can be of any suitable kind, such as coffee machines, light switches, park spot sensors and more. To connect devices to the cloud special IoT enabled protocols, such as QUIC, MQTT and XMPP are used. The architectures are deployed to cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure or others.
