Here are the guidelines for the end of the lab (in addition to the information at the kickoff):

Each participant writes his own report (no group reports).

The report should contain:
        - the sheet you received at kickoff with all signatures of the repsonsible lab engineers.
        - 1-2 DIN A4 pages per class. It should contain (as an example):
                - what was done in the class? Which (intermediate) products were produced (output)?
                - what data, preliminary products were provided at beginning of class(input)
                - Important parameters that have been set, what is important for the (intermediate) product?
                - Which quality characteristics are decisive for the (intermediate) product?
                - was something measured? If yes, document results, comment.
        - documents provided by the lab engineer
        - final evaluation of the finished product with quality assessment, min. 4 pages
        - exception: flexographic printing. There will be a presentation besides a short report.
The evaluation is transmitted by the flexo lab engineer to G. Hübner

Submission: send the report as PDF to Gunter Hübner (huebner@hdm-stuttgart.de).  About two to three weeks later you will receive the PDF with inserted comments back to your private email address. Therefore, you should inform me of your private email address or mention it in the report.

Deadline for submission of report in summer semester: July 31st - in winter semester: February 28th

The reports are reviewed by G. Hübner and evaluated in consultation with the responsibly persons of the departments

Further Advices for the 5P-Lab

Follow safety instructions and generally the instructions of the laboratory engineers and show the necessary respect for moving machinery and unknown chemicals. Common sense is very helpful here.
Do not wear your best clothes. In the laboratories, it may be that you work with inks that can not be removed from clothing. So do not wear the most expensive white sneakers on which a splash of color would be very annoying.

Report:
Sufficient margins allow corrections to be written in.
Use a spellchecker!
Pictures should be numbered and have captions. The pictures should be referenced in the text.
Example of referencing: As shown in Fig. 2, the offset press has six ink units plus one varnishing unit.
Look for correct source information, preferably use the Harvard referencing Style https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autor_Your_Shared.  Reliable sources typically are textbooks such as H. Kipphan, Handbook of Print Media, Spinger Verlag.  Sometimes it is very useful to look in textbooks, if your own notes are not detailed enough for reproducing the content that had been told in the lesson.
