  • Tobias Bilgeri

    Game and Character Designer Black Pants Studio, Berlin

    Tobias Bilgeri is a gamedesigner and animation artist working and living in Berlin. During his animation studies at the school of fine arts Kassel he co-founded the Black Pants Gamestudio were he works as a gamedesigner and content artist. He also teaches at the UDK-Berlin and gives lectures about gamesound.

  • Edgar Bittencourt

    Art Director Ubisoft-Studio Blue Byte, Düsseldorf

    Edgar Bittencourt is Art Director at the Ubisoft studio Blue Byte in Dusseldorf - only by detours did he enter the games industry. His artistic career began with classical ballet training at the Conservatories of Rio de Janeiro and Paris. In 1989 he joined the Ballettcompagnie in Paris, later worked among others, partnered with the New York City Ballet and the Paris Opera Ballet, danced in guest roles in opera houses in over 40 countries. This time has enormously expanded Edgar's horizon. He was always impressed by how actors are effectively staged. Edgar studied graphic design in Hamburg at the age of 29. Career positions in the film and advertising industry followed, e.g. as a cartoon animator for children's series. But only with the entry into the games industry Edgar was able to pick up his original ideas of staging and entertainment as a designer. His motivation is to entertain players in the best possible way and help them to escape into an interactive world.

  • André Bohr

    AV Senior Consultant Designer macom, Stuttgart

    André Bohr is a senior consultant and project manager at macom group, Europe’s leading expert for AV specialist planning and technology consulting for digital transformation. The service provider accompanies leading SME and DAX companies in the development and implementation of digital strategies. André Bohr specialises in planning audio-visual solutions for new working environments, interactive brand spaces and digital experience centres. He studied Audiovisual Media (B.Eng.) at HdM Stuttgart and has been working in the AV industry since 2011 now. Prior to joining macom he worked for two prominent integrators as system engineer, managing AV projects all over the world.

  • Alexandre Espigares

    Director

    Alexandre Espigares will present a behind the scenes look at the art and animation creation of his animated feature film White Fang. Based on the timeless novel by Jack London, White Fang is the story of a mixed wolf-dog growing up between wilderness and civilization, being told in striking imagery inspired by the Yukon region. From insights into early concepts to the development of the 3D animation style, and the combination of motion capture and keyframe animation, Alex Espigares will also share with us the challenges of realizing an ambitious artistic animated feature film within a limited European budget. Alex Espigares is the co-director of the Academy Award winning animated short film Mr Hublot.

  • Christian Fusenig

    Daimler AG

    Christian studied media technology at the HAW Hamburg. He worked as a freelance video engineer in television productions like the Johannes B. Kerner Show in ZDF. Later he moved to the medical division of Olympus and did Audio-Video System Integration in operating theaters. Since three years he is responsible for AV Technology in modern workspaces at the Daimler AG.

  • Luis Guggenberger

    Senior Concept Artist Industrial Light and Magic

    Already during his bachelor studies to Industrial Designer, he supported Trixter, one of the leading VFX studios in Germany. As an integral part of the Concept Art team, he led the newly formed Art Department a short time later and worked on projects such as Iron Man 3, Independence Day 2, Captain America: The Winter Soldier or the Avengers in the following years. Since 2015 Luis works mainly as Senior Concept Artist at ILM.

  • Gregory Louden

    Writer / Director 3rd Eye Studios

    Gregory Louden is an Australian entrepreneur, writer / director, Academy Award winning VFX Artist, narrative designer and computer scientist. He started his career in feature animation / vfx where he worked on Legend of the Guardians, Sucker Punch, Happy Feet 2, Prometheus, World War Z, Jack the Giant Slayer and Gravity. After VFX, he decided to try interactive entertainment after years of interest, where he led the Narrative Design on Quantum Break and preproduction of Control and CrossFire 2: Single Player. Afterwards he joined 3rd Eye Studios and the VR industry where he led the design and wrote / directed Downward Spiral: Horus Station. Today he is now CEO and founder of an unannounced Australian story game company.

  • Klaus Ostermayer

    Head of production studio Neumann&Müller, Munich

    Klaus Ostermayer is working as a media designer for fascinating large scale AV-shows since 1991. He is a problem solver at heart and a frequently sought after expert in the field of audiovisual media for international productions. Since 2006 he is head of the Neumann&Müller production studios in Munich and since 2013 member of the general management and responsible for media production.

  • Jan Ottens

    Senior Consultant ICT AG

    Jan Ottens absolved several internships at regional television before he was trained as a training media designer image and sound. Later he worked as camera assistant and dolly and crane operator for film and television in the areas of documentary and sports, as well as for international productions in the field of documentary and for Red Bull in the area of extreme sports. In 2011 he moved to the IT consulting industry working as an external employee for Audi in the Audi City project. In 2012 Lucky Palmer of Oculus visited his team showing them the duct-taped version of the rift. This brought Jan to join the group which is responsible for the integration of the VR sales tool which nowadays is the basis for the configurator used by Audi car dealers.

  • Benjamin Seide

    Educator, researcher and media artist

    Benjamin Seide lives in Singapore and Berlin and researches in the field of animation and immersive media. In the 1990s, Seide shot his first interactive 360° film with a self-developed camera and explored representations in virtual space in his work "Paramatrix". His work as a visual effects artist from the 2000s contributed to Art House and Hollywood films, including Wim Wender's "Don't Come Knocking", Roman Polanski's "Oliver Twist" and Martin Scorsese's "Hugo". 2009 - 2013 Seide lived and worked in Shanghai and created the award-winning immersive experience of the General Motors World Expo pavilion. Currently his projects investigate artistic interpretation of cultural and film heritage inimmersive media, including the full-dome installation "Homage á Fellini", the 360° film "Secret Detours" and the VR installation "Gone Garden", both interpretations of a Chinese heritage garden in Singapore, and "The Spirit of Pontianak", a VR installation of the lost horror film "Pontianak" from 1958.

  • Michael Wortman

    VFX supervisor Trixter

    Michael has worked in the vfx industry for a long time: he started his career in Germany and studied animation at Filmakademie in Ludwigsburg. After that he moved on to work on major motion pictures in Sydney, London and Wellington. Upon his return to Germany he served as one of the Visual Effects Supervisors on Journey 2, Star Trek Into Darkness, Game of Thrones and Good Kill. He supervised the VFX production for Atomic Blonde and has recently completed working on Black Panther and Lost In Space for Trixter.
