Prof. Klaus Thaler is a Full Professor at the Stuttgart Media University (HdM) in the field of Process Planning and Simulation, Organisation, Logistics and Project Management. He has been a Full Professor at the University of Applied Sciences (HTW) Berlin from 1995-2002. Until 1995 he worked at the largest German Applied Research Organisation, Fraunhofer-Institute as a Senior Scientist. He specialises on planning, organizing and optimizing business processes in different branches. He is working on concepts and the application of methodologies for supply and distribution management(SCM), supplier integration, and on computer-integrated solutions with industry. Prof. Thaler holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Stuttgart and a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering.

Prof. Thaler lectures Business Process Management, Organisation, Project Management , Media Software Applications and Statistics. He is responsible for the use of SAP-Software at Stuttgart Media University. He published books and studies on "Supply Chain Management", "Logistics" and "Workflow-Optimization". In applied Research Projects Prof. Thaler works closely with Industry and is know as Project Manager and Conference Speaker / Chairman "Print Media Future Day 2009", "PROKOM 2010" and "PMFD 2011".
