In the first two semesters (Year 1), you will be introduced to various aspects of social media marketing and management. You will develop a solid foundation in business, media production, law, and AI, which will be progressively expanded throughout the program. Assessment is primarily conducted through formal written exams, held at the end of each semester. Additionally, depending on your native language, you will take a language course in either German or English.
In semester 3 and 4 (Year 2), you will delve deeper into the specifics of social media marketing and management. This phase includes practical, hands-on experience: you will not only manage the social media newsroom of our study program but also conduct a research project related to social media marketing. Assessment will be a combination of formal written exams and project-based work.
The fifth semester (internship) is dedicated to applying your skills in a real-world professional setting. You will gain hands-on experience by working at a company of your choice, allowing you to explore different career paths and refine your interests. This experience will also help you determine the projects you want to pursue in your final semesters and the topic for your bachelor's thesis.
In the sixth and seventh semesters, you will engage in compulsory elective modules through exciting, real-world projects. Each semester offers a diverse selection of projects, many of which are conducted in collaboration with external partners, such as companies or social institutions. You will work alongside students from other bachelor's degree programs, fostering interdisciplinary learning. Projects can be completed in German, English, or both, depending on your preference. Assessment is primarly based on the project work you submit.
