This is a module offered in English and also for incoming students in Minor „Business Analytics“. The Project introduces students to the analysis of large volumes of unstructured text data. For Big Data Scenarios no programming is required but good analytic skills, a high motivation and an interest to develop models. The module covers Big Data architectures, methods, concepts and tools.
To get an in-depth understanding of the introduced methods, the students are applied in an extensive text mining project, implementing a full Big Data analytics solution. The module is addressed to bachelor students in their final semesters and requires a basic course about Data Science processes and methods (contents similar or equal to 335136).
