Application Process

The Social Media Marketing & Management degree program admits 20 students for the winter semester. Applications are uploaded via HdM´s SELMA system after successful participation in the entrance examination.
You will also be informed of your admission via this system.

Admission procedure

The entrance exam consists of a first round in which all applicants must submit a personal essay, and a second round in which selected candidates will be invited to participate in an English language test, and an online interview. A procedural grade is calculated for each applicant in round 2 of the application process. This procedural grade determines the ranking of admissions. The procedural grade is determined by calculating a point value which comprises 30% of the HZB grade and 70% of the result of the entrance examination.

Further information regarding English language test and interviews

Please make sure you keep the two weeks specified for the language test and the interviews free. Each candidate will be allocated a date and time slot for the test and the interview. Due to the high number of applicants, it is not possible to accommodate individual appointment requests. If you are unable to keep the appointments, you will not be able to take part in the further procedure.
