The Digital Printing course provides a comprehensive overview of the digital printing industry. It covers digitally printed products and their markets, and takes an in-depth exploration of the functional principles of the two most important digital printing techniques: electrophotography and inkjet printing. The course covers the advantages and disadvantages of the different technologies, their technical and economic limitations, the design of digital presses, their applications and expected future developments. Upon completion, students will have a detailed understanding of digital printing processes, including their physical principles, applications, markets, and prospects. They will also understand the relationship between technology, print quality, productivity and costs. They will be able to delve into advanced topics in digital printing and work self-dependently on projects.
