The Rolls Royce of state funding programmes

The EXIST Gründerstipendium supports innovative start-ups from universities and research institutes in the early phase. These should be innovative technology-oriented or knowledge-based startup projects with a good economic prospect of success. The EXIST Founders Grant is a funding program of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and is co-financed by the European Social Fund.

And because we are so modest, a little hint between us: applications submitted by the Generator tend to be quite successful

Eligibility:

Graduates and former Research Associates (up to 5 years after graduation/resignation)..

Students who have completed at least half of their studies at the time of application.

Founder teams up to max. 3 persons. Teams consisting mostly of students are only funded in exceptional cases.

One of the up to three team members can also have a recognised vocational training (as opposed to being a university graduate) and be funded as technical staff, OR: up to one team member may have graduated more than five years ago.

Coverage:

Securing of personal living costs through a scholarship granted for one year.

Founders with a Doctorate receive 3,000 euros / month
Graduates with another university degree 2,500 euros / month
Technical staff 2.000 Euro / month
Students 1,000 Euro / month
Child supplement: 150 Euro / month (per child)

Up to 10,000 for individual start-ups (for teams up to 30,000)

Coachingausgaben up to 5.000 Euro.
