Event Media is one of seven specialisations within the Audiovisual Media program. The studio production Event Media aims to create walk-in, interactive communication spaces. These spaces utilize genres from the visual arts, exhibition design and media installation.
Event Media is merging these disciplines. These can be architectural sequences of spaces or open installations. These spaces are real and can be experienced sensually. You can hear, see, smell, touch, feel and taste them. You can operate media applications, watch films, videos, animations, hear sounds, noises and music, trigger reactions through your own movement in space and thus become part of a spatial staging.
The ideas and contents are developed and implemented by students of the studio production. Every student has the opportunity to acquire, expand and gain skills in one or more fields of competence. Students can work in the following areas and assume management positions: Static image and graphic design, moving image and animation, sound design and sound production, programming and media control, lighting and equipment, room staging and stage construction, conception and direction, sponsoring, project management and production management. Our productions are conceptual, creative and technical in equal measure.
