Eine empirische Vergleichsstudie zur Wirkung von analogen und multimedialen Lernmitteln auf die Erinnerungsfähigkeit

One of the most controversial topics in recent education is the predicted influence of digitization on the education system. But there is still a lack of research surrounding the public discussion with empirical data. This thesis focusses on the influence of digital media on learning and the effect on remembering different kinds of information compared to analog learning methods. Therefore, the empirical setting compares two experimental groups of which each group got either an analog print product or a multimedia ebook. The content that is provided in both products is exactly the same value of information. In an experiment with a sample size of 27 participants, both media types are compared to find out if there is any advantage in remembering information after studying with one of them. The results show quite clearly that neither one of the media sources is superior to the other.
