Ways of developing applications for vehicles today and in the future
In-Car Technology is already a major factor for the car purchase decision. But with the autonomous vehicles the differentiation between car manufactures will become even more based on in vehicle media and comfort functionality. What will we do while we are being driven around in the car? Will we relax, work or play? Probably we want to be able to do all those things.
Applications in the vehicle, so called automotive app will become a major driver for the automotive industries. The manufacturers with the best comfort, the best work solutions and the multi-media capabilities will get the most customers. Playing games in the car, bus or hyperloop will become a normal thing to do. But what possibilities exist today to create apps for vehicles? What are the opportunities for developers and what are the problems? How can we access vehicle data in order to use it in an app today and in the future? In this presentation a technical overview and an outlook to future automotive app development is given.
