Evaluation of hybrid, polyfunctional trainings tools for business model innovation – the first results
The main issue of this article is about experiences with the training game priME SIM Innovation Management, developed at the Media Entrepreneur Center of Stuttgart Media University in Combination with priME Academy AG in 2015/2016. The evaluation is about a business game dealing with innovation in a disruptive environment, entrepreneurship processes as well as with marketing strategy and sales structured through methods of balanced scorecard, business model canvas and d.school. The training tool consists of a board game with blended paper based games and a PC-simulation, called priME SIM Innovation machine. The concept is an essential part of training courses for innovative SMEs, Postgraduates, HEI's teachers, Entrepreneurs and MBA scholars. It is aimed at the integration of the players into creative groups according to their professional interests and experiences for developing a unique set of active methods of training, corresponding to purposes of educational activities, allowing participants to gain the required competencies and organisations to develop, change and shift their business model. The article describes the setting of the game, characteristics of its model, peculiarity of the creative groups assessment, and the most curious results.
