Die Wirkung eines Empathie-Online-Trainings auf das Erkennen von Kundenbedürfnissen

The demand for innovations has dominated the economic sector for several years. Methods such as design thinking are increasingly being used in product development. The Customer is the first priority and its demand for satisfaction of needs. It is always important to investigate which problem must be solved. While empathy and the learn-ing of empathy already play an important role in various industries, the influence of a learning process of empathy on the identification of needs remains unexplored. This work deals with different forms of market and customer research as well as the psy-chological consideration of learning processes for empathy. The research design compares two experimental groups that run a test on the identification of needs. Some of the participants completed an empathy training. The other part did not run through this training. 


The results of the experiment with a total of 48 participants show that there were no statistically significant differences in the ability of both groups to recognize needs. However, this does not allow conclusions to be drawn about the general ineffective-ness of such training. The approach developed in this paper can be used as a tem-plate for a more comprehensive study with a larger resource budget.
