Online Placement Test for German as a foreign language (onSET)

In order to be able to assign the right course to our students, we regularly organise the online placement test German as a foreign language (onSET) for international students at the beginning of the German courses.

 

Participation: Entry requirement for a German course (semester courses) when students have prior knowledge.

 

Process: The test is completely internet-based from registration to the result and is not person-related. The test consists of 8 short cloze-texts with different topics and levels of difficulty. An onSET sample test can be found here.

 

Objective: To assess existing German language skills and levels according to the Common European Framework of Reference CEFR (A1 to C2).
