Lernergebnisse:

This lecture is designed to enable students to understand, critically discuss and reflect upon the interdisciplinary nature of mobile interaction design.
It will focus on design-; business- and technological aspects and how those may influence a mobile ecosystem. The main focus of the exercises will be on mobile content architecture, functional design, graphic design guidelines as well as enabling students to read and successfully apply mobile design patterns. Critically questions the suitability of specific design patterns and learn how mobile design patterns relate to more general interaction design patterns will be part of group discussions and activities.

In addition, basic high- and low- fidelity prototyping tools will be subject of special exercises, designed to enable students to create work examples for their personal portfolio (work examples are necessary to find a number of internships).
GOALS
•Understanding Mobile Media state of the art mobile widgets and design patterns
•Appreciate the difference of mobile devices, device adaptation and differences of Native-, Web Apps as well as Mobile Web Sites.
•Understanding of interaction design for mobile content/devices
Ability to design mobile application using standardized design patterns.
