HDR for Live Production

With the advancement of camera and display technologies towards a higher dynamic range, the broadcast world is facing a change. High Dynamic Range (HDR) is one of the major topics in the television industry, perceived by the viewer as a visible improvement in image quality and has a greater impact on the viewing experience than the increase in resolution or frame rate.

As subject of a Master Thesis in cooperation with Broadcast Solutions and the Hochschule der Medien Stuttgart (HdM) different possibilities for the simultaneous delivery of SDR and HDR signals are to be tested.
