English Abstract: |
Abstract: Societies need sound information to effectively respond to the many challenges facing them. But often the information provided by journalists and communication professionals leaves out relevant perspectives and feasible solutions. This module explores new ways of addressing the issues by harnessing the diversity of cultural backgrounds and creating innovative digital products with meaningful content. It is part of the Minor “Journalism and Communication Management” and taught in English. Learning goals: You will gain profound experience in planning, developing and prototyping content for digital multimedia publications. You will have the opportunity to add new content formats to your skill set to create a kind of reporting that is relevant for democratic debate. And collaborating with students from many countries will broaden your view and show how societies could learn from each other. Methods/exam: You will plan, research and produce an article, podcast, video or social media campaign. You will choose between several advanced challenges as, e.g., painting a nuanced and rich picture of a societal problem, looking for solutions to such a problem, engaging in a dialogue with the audience about possible solutions or generating inspiring stories of our society’s future. |
