Key technological innovations like search engine technology, social media, mobile devices and big data are fundamentally changing our ways of communicating, reading and learning. More than ever before, libraries seem to be driven by rapid technological development. In this situation libraries need specific tools, methods and measures to support them in planning and decision making and in communicating their efforts and achievements to funding institutions and the general public. In this course, we will discuss the drivers that change the roles and services of libraries. We will develop suitable methods and measures of evaluation and explore future-oriented concepts of communicating with stakeholders.
