After getting to know the basic probciples of a VFX work pipeline, we will have an introductory look at the Compositing software Nuke. We will continue and do some hands-on training with camera and lighting equipment. After the shoot we will use the live action green screen footage for a basic postproduction in Nuke, including keying, camera tracking, rotoscoping and the insertion of backplates and 3D content.
We will use the HdM green screen studio with HD cameras, film lights, video editing software for previs and post, compositing software for keying, tracking, layer design, and colour grading, and 3D modelling and animation software for digital backlots, set extensions or animated 3D characters. Students of the workshop will be their own actors and stand-ins, but we will neither produce soundtrack nor elaborated stories. |
