**** Course dates will switch from Wednesday evenings 17:45 - 21:00 to Thursday mornings 10:00 - 13:15 from May 22 until the end of the semester **** This course covers the art, tools and techniques of 3D character animation and gives the students practical experience with the principles of animation. Course participants will animate with a wide range of provided character rigs in Autodesk Maya, from simple object to complex humanoid character. The hands-on emphasis is on developing an understanding of - movement and body mechanics - the application of the principles of animation - animation design from pose to movement - animation workflow and techniques of 3D character animation - an introductory understanding of acting in animation During the course students will complete various exercises to be compiled into an animation reel as course outcome. **** Max. 24 participants - please be aware of the high workload involved in this practical course **** |
