I am interested in how humans experience and interact with the world around them. This starts at a level where we perceive our environment based on visual information but continues with judgments we make about this information. For User Experience questions, I believe, this cognitive approach is a complement to a needs based explanation of affect and Design Thinking methods. I have a background in Psychology and visual Psychophysics (M.A.(Hons) and PhD from St Andrews, Scotland) and am applying my knowledge on how we perceive our environment to the User Experience research in the IXD Group.
