Marcus Mast was part of the IXD Group from 2008 until 2014. His main research focus was on human interaction with semi-autonomous domestic service robots (SRS Project). He also investigated spatiotemporal patterns in visual attention of web page users, developed user experience evaluation methods, and contributed to projects on user experience with infographics, on user expectations for web page elements, and on visual rhetorics. He further headed user experience studies and eye tracking studies for clients in the industry.

Marcus Mast received his MSc in Information Management from Stuttgart Media University and his PhD in Cognitive Science from Linköping University, Sweden (Division of Human-Centered Systems / Laboratory for Cognition, Interaction, and Language Technology), in cooperation with Stuttgart Media University. He lectured in human-robot interaction, human-computer interaction, and eye movement analysis at Stuttgart Media University and at Linköping University.
