Short Term Programs and Summer Schools Abroad
It doesn't always have to be a semester abroad. Summer or winter schools are a great alternative for those who don't want to miss out on an experience abroad during their studies, but don't want to invest quite as much time.
Universities around the world offer specialized and language courses, especially during the summer months - including some partner universities. On the Summer Schools in Europe website, you can find exciting programs throughout Europe - but with a little research, you can also find great options worldwide. Programs range from one week to a maximum of two months. A few summer schools, especially at partner universities, are free of charge, while others involve costs.
Please note that participant places in summer courses are limited and particiption cannot be guaranteed. Some courses take place during the HdM semester / exam period. Interested students must plan accordingly to be able to attend a course that fits around with their own schedule / exam period. If you have any questions regarding academic matters (e.g. suitability of course content, ECTS credit, etc.), please contact your Dean of Studies or Study Abroad Officer. If you are interested in participating in a summer course, please first contact the International Office contact person and provide the following information and documents: Last name, first name, course of study at HdM, semester of study (at the time of the summer course), letter of motivation, copy of your grade report and copy of your OOPT result.
