12 weekly sessions a 90' plus self-study. Requirements for obtaining ECTS credits and language course certificate. The final grade is based on a range of tasks and assignments (KMP) to be achieved over the entire duration of the course Regular attendance is mandatory and will be assessed: 85% of the course is to be completed in presence, this also applies to online teaching formats, via videoconference. Make sure that you do not miss more than two classes (4 SWS). This way you will be admitted to the final examination! Active participation in class (peer and group works, discussion) incl. verbal skills will be evaluated. The course ends with a written and oral examination, which usually takes place on the last day of the course. To successfully pass the examination, you much achieve at least 60 per cent. |

Entry requirement is a completed Level C1(2) of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) based on: The result of the Oxford Placement Test (OOPT) with a score ranging between 101-120 points OR A certificate from a previously completed C1 or C1.2 course at the HdM Language Centre or at a partner university. |

Expert English C2 is an advanced English course focused on enhancing your reading and speaking skills Drawing on scientific papers and journal articles, you'll practice a range of skills from reading more quickly and efficiently to critically analysing texts. During the course, rhetorical devices for giving presentations and leading discussions will be introduced and practiced and feedback will be given on use of language, including grammar, pronunciation and style. By the end of the course, you will be better able to understand complex written English and express yourself in diverse professional and academic settings. |
